A new Android Market for phones Posted on: July 13, 2011 [Source]
If your phone runs Android 2.2 or higher, you can now see what's new in the Android Market. Google has been working on an improved market place for all Android fans by adding more applications and games plus the posibility to purchase books and rent movies.
For those living in the Statesides, at $1.99 you'll be able to download thousands of movies available in the Android Market to watch instantly on your smartphone. Just sign in with your Google account and rent movies from anywhere. The movies will be available offline, so you can watch when you don't have an Internet connection.
The Books app was added too, if you like reading. Like movie rentals, books can now be purchased from the Android Market on your phone. A large collection of digital books will be found in one place. New arrivals or best seller? All of them in the Android Market.
A new interface more easy to use, cleaner, finger-friendlier and faster. More top charts have been introduced, newer, more relevant items plus more space to feature the most interesting content of the week on the home page.
The update is automatic for the supported phones. It will be rolling out in the next weeks, so enjoy the new Android Market on your smartphone.Check out the source link with a short video preview.
