UPDATE: More specs emerged. The Stream has a 3.7-inch AMOLED display, 512 MB of RAM. It also acts as a DLNA and UPnP streamer on WiFi, hence the name. All these details come from this video demo on Batista70Phone's website.

Acer's newest Android phone, the Liquid Stream, was surprised at the Google I/O conference last week along with a bunch of other known and unknown handsets. Although no details were provided then, we now found out more infos about this smartphone.

The device has been passing the FCC and its official specs were revealed also. The new Liquid Stream will run Android 2.1, a 5MP camera, Snapdragon processor, 720p video recording along with a HDMI out, 1400mAh battery, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

It is expected to land sometime in October this year, without any specific date. The handset doesn't look so bad, the specs are decent, but what about the name? Why Stream? We'll let you know as soon as new interesting news come out.
