The team from Android Developers monthly release a chart with the platform distribution, showing the most wanted version of Google's operating system.
The following pie chart indicates Android Gingerbread as the most dominant player during a 14-day period of time in December.
According to these scores, Android 2.3 is installed on 55 percent of Google devices, followed by Android Froyo with 30.4%.
The most recent version of Android, Ice cream Sandwich that comes with new improvements and compatible with both tablets and smartphones - as an unified platform - is currently present on few devices, but we expect more to be upgraded this year.
As for older versions, Cupcake and Donut, the are out of the picture, taking the last positions with 0.6%, respectively 1.1%.
