ComScore: Android continues to growth in US Posted on: June 6, 2011 [Source]
As expected, the latest ComScore scores from a recent report show that both Android and iOS see continued growth in the US market. The numbers are from the last quarter and indicate that Google's operating system has climbed over five percent, now totaling 36.4%.
The chart below show the top three positions for the mobile software platforms with Android taking the lead, followed by Apple's iOS with 26.0% and RIM closed by the iOS with 25.7%. Microsoft and Palm aren't in the competition anymore, scoring barely 6.7%, respectively 2.6%.
According to ComScore's latest report, Samsung is the most popular and wanted manufacturer by those owning a smartphone in the Stateside, with LG taking the second position and Motorola on the third place. Apple with its iPhone is not in the top choise of the US mobile subscribers ages 13+.
