Android still the number on in the US smartphone market

According to the latest Comscore numbers, Google's platform is still joiing the first position in the US smartphone market. For the last three months of 2011, Android has manages to hold the top spot without any problems.

With a growth of 2.5 percent, Android scores 47.3 percent of market share, followed by Apple with 29.6% and RIM with 16.0%. The last two positions are taken by Microsoft and Symbian respectively with 4.7% and 1.4%.

ComScore also said that US is the place where people using a smartphone is increasing. Samsung is yet the manufacturer that makes the most phones in the US, followed by LG, Motorola and Apple. When saying Samsung, probably Galaxy S and SII devices come in mind. So, Android still beating the competition.
