Dell's intentions of conquering the smartphone's market are serious. Another Android handset announced to have the release in 2011, sometime in the second quarter, is the Dell Smoke. A slim design ressembling like the Blackberry mixed with a Palm Pixi.
According to Dell, this device is a "non-conforming style", a portrait slider with a full QWERTY keyboard included. Dell's principal target with the Smoke are the corporate customers and the company even promised a price that "won't break the bank".
The specs are:
- Android 2.2
- 2.8 inch QVGA display
- 5 MP camera
- Qualcomm's next gen MSM7230 processor at 800MHz
- 14.4 Mbps HSPA
- microSD expansion to 32GB
- WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR
As the Dell Thunder, the Smoke will be carried by AT&T for an affordable price. Apparently all Android devices announced by Dell will have the same carrier, so they might have sort of agreement. It remains to be seen the reaction of Android lovers over this interesting handset.
