HTC Edge to be the first quad core phone? Posted on: November 7, 2011 [Source]
If the first quad-core Android-based tablet from Asus will see the light in the next future, apparently HTC is going to bring on the market the first quad-core phone. According to the guys over at Pocketnow, HTC Edge will be a powerful Android-based phone powered by a quad-core processor.
As far as its internal specs are concerned, the smartphone will be featuring a 4.7-inch display, 1GB of RAM, a form factor that seems to ressemble the recently unveiled HTC Rezound with the same 720p resolution with an internal storage up to 32 GB.
HTC Edge is supposed to integrate the Tegra 3 CPU from Nvidia with four 1.5GHz cores, Bluetooth v 4.0, HTC Sense 4.0 user interface and improved HTC content services such as: HTC Read bookstore, HTC Play gaming hub, HTC Listen music store and more.
The handset will come also with a pair of Beats Audio enhancements and will probably be upgraded with Google's new OS version, Ice Cream Sandwich, unless it's not shipping with it.
