LG expands its smartphone line-up with a new Android-based handset called LG Optimus Sol aka the E730. With this new smartphone the Korean company introduces a power management technique with its new "Dark UI", hoping to extend phones' battery life up to 30 percent.
The explication for using the Spanish word "sol" which means "sun" in english is simple. It packs a 3.8-inch WVGA "Ultra AMOLED" touchscreen that makes the screen easier to read in the sunlight and offers high quality image.
Regarding its other internal specs, the Optimus Sol includes 1GHz CPU, as well as enhanced Flash 10.1, a 5 megapixel camera on the back andruns Android Gingerbread. It comes with a sophisticated design and a solid feel and a depth of only 9.8mm.
LG's new smartphone will be landing in Europe beginning mid-September, followed by a release date in Central and South America. It will come in black, titan and white, depending on the region.
