Official pictures of the Droid 2

Probably many of you have been waiting for the official Motorola Droid 2 announcement. Though, there are no infos about the release date, Engadget received from the reader Dominic some true to life photos about the successor of the Droid 1. These multi-angle pictures show a clear image of the device, so what we need now is some official statement from Verizon.
That lucky reader managed to dig for some infos in the Droid Does website source code, revealing the sequel inside a Flash file. Of course, we've seen before leaked photos of the Droid 2, but this appears to be the first official image for the device.
As for the launch date of the Droid 2, we've been already heard about a rumored date, August 23th, but after seeing the Android phone in Verizon summer catalog and now with this clear and "real" picture decoded, we might see it coming earlier. But, let's wait for word from Verizon, right?
