It looks like more Blackberry-esque handsets are making their appearance on the stage. Motorola Fire aka XT 316 has been officially announced by the company and is a new Android smartphone, a candybar device, that ressembles the Droid Pro.

As the specs are concerned, it packs a decent 2,8-inch QVGA display, Moto's UI Switch, 3MP camera on the back, 512MB of ROM, a mid-range Qualcomm 600MHz MSM7227-1 processor, a merely 256 of RAM and compatible with HSDPA, Wi-Fi b/g/n.

The handset will be available in China for now, heading to the Latin America, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Europe in the next few months. The name for each region will be also different: Motorola Fire in Europe and Motorola Spice Key in Latin AMerica.

The XT 316 will run Android 2.2 Froyo, while the Fire and Spice Key will get the latest version of the Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The pricing for the Chinese version will cost around $230 and probably the same for the others too.
