Motorola MB520 Kobe Posted on: August 26, 2010 [Source]
Motorola Kobe, also known by its model number MB520, is an Android-equipped device we heard a few days ago from the folks over at Engadget. Offering some of the phone's specifications, as well as screenscaps of some benchmarks results, they recently managed to get their hands on a series of leaked pictures of the so called Motorola Kone (codenamed "Diablo"). And continuing a leaked-device tradition, there are blurry.
The new Android device from Motorola is headed for AT&T later this year and its specs include a recent version of Android 2.1 with MotoBlur skin reminiscent of Droid X's UI (complete with Blur logo on back), a 3.5-inch LCD display with 480x854 resolution, 800MHz TI OMAP processor, PowerVR SGX 530 GPU, 512MB RAM, 2G internal memory and a 3 megapixel camera (without flash).
It currently comes loaded with Swype and DLNA support, both becoming standard apps on Motorola's Android devices. As bonus, the Kobe has also included the voice user interface, Vlingo, a nice addition for all users loving this type of service.
Along with this suggestive name Kobe, internally the codename "Diablo" has also been mention, but there is no confirmation for the final and official name of the device. According to Engadget's tispter, we can expect for an update to 2.2 over the air, hopefully shorthly after its launch.
We are about to see if this Android phone, named after a NBA star will manage to make a good entrance on the stage or not. We'll let you know as soon as we hear more about the Kobe. Untill then, check out the source link for more images.
