The Android-based phone, surprised few days ago as the "Shakira" is the new Xperia X8 and has officially been announced by Sony Ericsson in a press release. The device brings a mid-size and mid specs on the Xperia line and extends "the range of the most entartaining smartphones".
The Xperia X8 is the latest member of the Xperia collection and will run Android 1.6, a 3-inch capacitive touchscreen at 320x480 pixels (HGVA), a 3.2 MP camera and video recording functionality, 600MHz processor, microSD up to 16GB plus a memory card of 2GB, 3.5 mm audio jack, USB support and Wi-Fi.
You can consider this Android phone as a perfect solution for enjoying multimedia entertainment because you get SE's social (Timescape) and media (Mediascape) applications, many other games, video, internet and more to experience on the 3-inch screen.
It will arrive in selected markets from Q3 2010 in a choice of colors: white, dark blue/white, aqua blue/white, pink/white, silver/white and is expected to cost around €259 ($318).
