ZiiLABS just announced their new smartphone platform, the Zii TRINITY, powered by Android OS. The specs are overwhelming, let's hope some major manufacturers pick the platform and get it into production.
• Quad-band GSM, Tri band 3.5/4G
• Accelerated 3D Graphics
• 3.1” 480x800 OLED capacitive, multi-touch
• 1080p video output
• 5M pixel camera AF
• VGA front facing camera
• USB 2.0 Micro port for connectivity and charging
• MicroSD
• 1130mAH lithium polymer battery
Most likely this platform will head to small manufacturers, that want to jump into the Android bandwagon but don't afford to develop their own platform. This only raises tha bar for major manufacturers to come with much more performant smartphones, or at least with similar specks, not the old 528 MHz Qualcomm procesor and 320x480 LCD we now all hate.
